Travel Job Summary:
Physical Therapist (PT) Outpatient position available in Sacramento, California. This role involves working primarily in a skilled nursing facility located in Bruceville, with training to float to an inpatient acute care hospital within the same parking lot. The position offers the opportunity to treat a variety of patients, including those with total joint replacements, stroke, pneumonia, deconditioning, and balance difficulties related to general medical conditions.
Job Details:
Schedule: 8-hour days, with shifts starting at 08:00, including 2 weekend shifts per month
Required Qualifications: California Physical Therapist license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, 2 years of relevant experience, and certification to work in a healthcare environment. Candidates must have at least 6 months of experience in either acute care or skilled nursing.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working independently, excellent communication skills, proficiency in performing transfers, and ability to work closely with an interdisciplinary team.
Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The role involves working with inpatient and outpatient populations, primarily in areas such as total joint replacements, stroke, and neuro patients. Candidates should be prepared for inpatient-only care settings, EMR documentation using Cerner, and maintaining professional standards at all times.
