The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting, working to ensure optimal health outcomes for patients. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective nursing care.

• Location: PCU North, Main Hospital
• Number of Beds: 18
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 6 staff members (1 CNC, 5 RNs, 2 PCTs)
  • Night Shift: 6 staff members (1 CNC, 4 RNs, 2 PCTs)
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Type of Equipment:
  • Welch Allen Vital Signs
  • Alaris IV Pumps
  • EKG Machines
  • Bipap Machines
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech

The RN will be expected to perform the following duties:

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment and monitoring of vital signs.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as ordered.
• Manage post-procedure care for patients following catheterization.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Perform drip titration and adjust medication dosages as required.

• Required Skills:
  • ACLS Certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role preferred.

• Shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Weekends: 2-3 shifts per 4-week period
• Dress Code: Grey scrubs; no hoodies allowed
