Registered Nurse (RN) - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 35-bed Progressive Care Unit serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring
- Manage and titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5, with patient care tech support at a 1:10 ratio
- Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab units as needed
- Maintain compliance with facility fingernail policy - artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
- Active RN license
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Valid driver's license (required at time of submittal for radius verification)
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates may not be currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity Health
- Must successfully pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%
- Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting
- Experience titrating cardiac and neurological drips
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
