Registered Nurse (RN)

This position involves working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and requires professional nursing skills in a dynamic healthcare environment. The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients, utilizing advanced clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills.

• Number of Beds: 34
• Number of Staff: 60
• Staff Composition: RN and CNA
• Day Shift Staff: 1 Charge Nurse, 9-11 Nurses, 2 Aides
• Night Shift Staff: 1 Charge Nurse, 7-9 Nurses
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Equipment Utilized: Telemetry, bedside monitors, defibrillation machines, Alaris pumps, Kangaroo pumps, CT, pacer wires, pacing boxes
• EMR: Epic

• Continuous monitoring of patients with cardiac conditions.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to implement patient care plans.
• Conducting procedures such as Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and cardioversion.

• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Advanced EKG
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant area, with a focus on cardiovascular care preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in telemetry and cardiovascular management.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic and possess an easy-going personality conducive to a collaborative working environment.

• Floating Areas: ICU and COVID unit as needed.
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs.
• Weekends: Rotating weekends required.
