Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Akron, OH Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown)

Contract Night Shift 3x12-Hour Shifts 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Every other holiday rotation

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms as part of ongoing patient assessment
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
• Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
• Participate in annual hands-on competency requirements and pre-start module completion as directed by the facility
• Adhere to facility compliance standards, including background check and licensing requirements

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or active Compact state license - must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• AHA BLS certification - active and in hand at time of submission
• AHA ACLS certification - active and in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in a PCU, Stepdown, or IMC setting
• One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months - co-worker references will not be accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered

• PCU/Stepdown experience gained within a single location (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation in a clinical setting
• Experience working within a large health system environment

• Opportunity to work in a well-established, high-acuity progressive care environment with a structured orientation and competency program
• Contract extensions may be available for qualified candidates, offering the potential for continued placement
