Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Transplant Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting, monitoring and managing medically complex transplant patients
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for step-down level patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate safe transitions
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care delivered, and clinical outcomes
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or a compact state equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of PCU, step-down, or IMC nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in a transplant or specialty PCU environment
  • Familiarity with care of immunocompromised or post-transplant patient populations
  • Experience working in a high-acuity step-down or intermediate care setting
