Registered Nurse - PACU

Midland, TX Acute Care

Contract Days Monday-Friday 5x8-Hour Shifts (9:00-17:30) On-Site Call Required

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for adult and pediatric patients across a broad range of surgical specialties including orthopedic, neurological, general, urology, dental, GYN, and pediatric ENT (T&A, BMT, etc.)
• Monitor and manage patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and A-lines
• Assist with coverage in Pre-Op as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation and may be expected to work some holidays
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale

• Active RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission; must be active prior to start)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Experience recovering pediatric patients is required
• Experience across all surgical specialties except cardiac/heart surgery
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience preferred
• Critical care background strongly preferred
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

• Opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity PACU environment with a diverse surgical caseload including both adult and pediatric populations
• Expected Monday-Friday daytime schedule with a targeted start within the next 3-5 weeks
