We are seeking a Registered Nurse with expertise in General Surgery for an Operating Room setting. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in orthopedic surgery with a minimum of 2 years of OR experience. This role requires participation in call rotations and working within an acute care environment.

• Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with a varied day off every other week; includes weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotation
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3240 (negotiable)
• EMR Charting System: Epic OpTime
• Number of Suites: 5
• Average cases per day: 20-25
• Floating to Ottawa required at times

• Assist in general, GYN, urology, orthopedic, and podiatry surgeries
• Handle cases such as colon resections, lap gen surgeries, hysterectomy, nephrectomy, and joint replacements
• Participate in call responsibilities as scheduled
• Adhere to dress code and wear hospital provided scrubs
• Maintain and update patient records using Epic OpTime
• Engage in department specific orientation on the morning of the first shift

Required:

• Active IL license or confirmation of application process
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• Negative drug screen for all panels

Preferred:

• Experience in orthopedic surgery
• Scrubbing skills preferred
• PALS certification
