American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina.

Assignment Overview

• Shift: Days, 4×10 hours per day (6:30am–5:00pm). Other shift patterns available: 3×12 hours (6:30am–7:00pm) or 4×10 hours (6:30am–5:00pm).

Responsibilities

• Work in an ambulatory operating room setting with 9 ORs.
• Complete one late week per 4‑week period to wrap up cases.
• No weekend or on‑call requirements.
• Potential floating within the perioperative facility.
• Use Epic EMR (experience preferred).
• Preferred specialty experience includes Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, and Surgical Oncology.

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact RN license. Candidates with a pending SC license may be considered.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• SSN and driver’s license required for background check.
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years.
• Radiation badge required — must be provided by the staffing agency.
• First‑time travelers are not accepted.
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year.
• Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are considered; non‑local candidates are prioritized.
• All requested time off must be submitted at consideration; approval based on facility needs.
• May be required to precept a care team member in the operating room.
• Orientation modules completed prior to start date.
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September.

Compensation

Pay package based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
