Role: Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) responsible for evaluating and developing care plans for patients with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review patients' medical histories, conduct assessments, and observe task performance
- Develop individualized treatment plans with specific goals and activities
- Assist patients in performing daily tasks and improve functional skills
- Evaluate home or workplace environments for potential improvements
- Educate families and employers on patient care and accommodations
- Recommend and instruct on the use of specialized equipment
- Document patient progress, activities, and evaluations accurately and timely
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience; new graduates encouraged to apply
- Current NBCOT-OTR certification and state-specific license
- BLS certification required
- Good physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lean for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
