Travel Job Summary:

Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) in Waltham, Massachusetts. This role involves partnering with residents and interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services aimed at enhancing residents' functional abilities and independence in activities of daily living. The position supports the mission of the healthcare organization and requires providing evaluative and therapeutic procedures, ADL training, mobility assistance, and documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards.

Job Details:

Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; licensed as an OT in the State of Massachusetts; minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a SNF setting; strong communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Additional Information: Responsible for supporting and promoting the organizations mission and values. Provides consultation to physicians and other healthcare team members, documents all interactions appropriately in the electronic medical record, and ensures the proper use of assistive devices. Supervises and mentors assistant-level staff when applicable, maintains a clean and organized workspace, and follows all infection control protocols. Maintains current licenses and certifications, and completes annual compliance courses as required.
