Travel Occupational Therapist - Cognitive and ADL Focus
Job Description This is a 13-week contract position for an Occupational Therapist specializing in cognitive and activities of daily living (ADL) physical functioning disorders. The role entails effectively screening and evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and providing appropriate rehabilitative interventions to support recovery and improve patient quality of life.
Responsibilities
Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders.
Develop and implement appropriate plans of care in compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
Administer rehabilitative treatments, including ADL retraining and therapeutic exercises.
Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Provide comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate patient records.
Consult and counsel patients, families, and other service providers regarding treatment approaches.
Effectively communicate with supervisors and the healthcare team about patient progress and challenges.
Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants and rehabilitation aides.
Schedule This position is for 8-hour day shifts.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
1+ years of Occupational Therapist experience is required.
Long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation experience is required.
Active Occupational Therapist license is required at the time of application.
New graduates are considered if they have Level II fieldwork experience.
