American Traveler is hiring an experienced Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation setting, requiring neuro experience and current CA licensure. Details

Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting Day shift, 5x8 hours, Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Large, multidisciplinary care team Complex patient population including CVA, brain injury, spinal cord injury, cancer rehab, and complex orthopedic cases Epic charting system experience required Requirements

Current CA OT license required if applicable BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of experience required Acute care experience required Neuro OT experience required Experience with prosthetics and orthotics including above and below knee prosthetics, dynamic and static splints, and orthoplast preferred Skilled in ADLs, adaptive equipment assessment, cognitive assessment, and functional capacity evaluation Experience with lower and upper extremity conditions, amputee care, and orthopedic rehabilitation including arthritis, hand injuries, hip fracture, total hip and knee replacement, and soft tissue injuries Additional Information

Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, plan of care development, reassessments, and discharge planning Perform splinting and feeding technique interventions as part of treatment Provide patient and family education on safety and injury prevention Conduct lifting and transfer techniques as part of daily patient care Complete pre-discharge planning and driver's education evaluations as needed Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius Returning travelers must have a minimum 1-year separation before reapplying Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing First-time travelers may be considered as travel experience is not required
