American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an acute inpatient rehab unit at a Level 1 Trauma center, requiring NICU/PEDs experience and Epic charting proficiency. Details

Inpatient acute care setting within a ~500 bed Level 1 Trauma center 20-bed inpatient rehab unit with over 50% neuro cases including CVA, TBI, nTBI, and SCI Also treats lower extremity amputation and multi-trauma patients Approximately 170 patients on the acute OT caseload Day shift schedule Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM 40 hours per week across 5 days Weekend shifts required approximately once per month No holiday shifts required No floating requirements Epic EMR experience required Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required Occupational Therapy (OT) license from Illinois required (license required if applicable) BLS certification required NICU/PEDs experience required Level 1 Trauma center experience required Epic charting experience required Ability to perform patient transfers from bed, chair, and floor with assistance as needed Knowledge of safe body mechanics to reduce injury risk to self, staff, and patients Additional Information

Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, serving as a clinical resource for staff and students Design individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning Adjust care based on patient response and current evidence-based practice Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers Perform clinical evaluations and select appropriate examination and screening methods Supervise and provide feedback to COTA and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines Utilize standardized outcome measures to accurately reflect functional performance Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team throughout the rehabilitation process Communicate patient status, transfer recommendations, and discharge planning needs with the medical team Complete documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards Radius rule requires candidates live 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted RTO limited to no more than 7 total days per 13-week contract Returning workers may not exceed 1 year of continuous assignment before requiring a 6-month break in service
