Travel Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (Inpatient) position located in Merced, California. The role involves providing inpatient therapy services to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population with orthopedic, neurological, medical, and pulmonary conditions. The therapist will participate in specialized programs such as stroke rehabilitation and early mobility initiatives, working Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM
5:00 PM, 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid California license, BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational therapy, inpatient setting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke certification (JCAHO), TJP, and early mobility programs.
Float: Float rotation may be required across departments including outpatient therapy, inpatient units, and home health services.
Additional Information: The inpatient units consist of 189 beds, including ICU, telemetry, medical, surgical, and mother and baby units. The facility utilizes the Cerner electro Medical record (EMR) system. The department features a multidisciplinary therapy team led by therapy supervisors and includes licensed therapy aides, PTs, PTAs, OTRs, COTAs, and therapy leaders. The facility is staffed 24/7 with hospitalists and intensivists available in-house, and the campus is within close proximity to outdoor recreational areas such as Yosemite and Monterey Bay.
