Job Description The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines.
Responsibilities
Assess patient’s level of functioning upon physician orders and plan appropriate treatment.
Participate in interdisciplinary team processes and discharge planning for each patient.
Complete documentation according to Department policy and procedures.
Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and OT/COTA students.
Collaborate with team members to provide optimal patient care.
Maintain patient confidentiality while instilling confidence in team members, patients, and families.
Demonstrate safe techniques regarding patients and equipment.
Budget time and set priorities effectively.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Must hold a valid, current State license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational therapy is required.
Schedule This position is scheduled for Day shifts with a 5x8.0 format.
Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
