Job Summary

Telemetry (TELE) Nurse in a short-term acute care facility will primarily care for patients with neurological diagnoses, including post-surgical neurology patients and those with cerebrovascular accidents. The position involves floating between units and requires proficiency with the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale and post-surgical neurological patient care.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Education Requirements: Not specified.
• Location Requirements: Must hold a valid state license; compact license acceptable.
• Years of Experience: At least 1 year required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include management of neurology patients, interpretation of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation monitoring, and utilization of specialized equipment such as neural monitors and chest tubes.
• Experience with epic charting system is required.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Candidate must be available to work three of the five major holidays and submit all specific scheduling requests upfront.
• References: Two references covering at least one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required.
• Candidates should not directly contact facility contacts unless for an interview scheduled by the recruiter.
