50‑mile radius rule for travelers; local candidates accepted @ $60/hr. FLU VACCINE IS REQUIRED—only medical exemption allowed and requires documented evidence from a health care provider of a past severe reaction to the vaccine. FINGERPRINT REQUIREMENT—remote process must allow 10 days; in person can be done at Jackson or Grenada campus the week prior to start. OPEN TO 48 HRS/WK @ Flat Rate (OT billed after 48hrs). Unit 5 South hematology oncology; ONC cert NOT required but would love candidates with experience; manager will teach clinician how to administer CHEMO—can be a great learning opportunity.

Must have solid experience as an RN—at least 1 yr on first job. 1 or more years of Level 1 or VERY Large hospital experience required. Travel experience with extension is preferred. EPIC CHARTING experience is required.

Required certifications (BLS, ACLS). Experience or 'Must have' skills: Level 1 trauma experience required. Must be comfortable with lines, chest tubes, hem/onc, and chemo experience preferred.

Are RNs required to titrate drips? Heparin, could have an order for amio and that can be started and then patient would be transferred to cardiac unit. Common titratable &/or set rate drips: cardiac drips on 3south only.

Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? RNs are required to read their own strips; patients are monitored on all units; central monitor station will communicate with RN; 3south tele unit also has central monitors at nurses station and every patient is on tele.

Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Both. Nurse managers in house M-F business hours, starting at 3pm M-F; all weekend there is an adult house sup. Charge takes light patient assignment, will take full load if needed. Educator and manager for each unit. Smaller units share manager and educator.

Shift & Scheduling: 12 hours, 7a‑7p or 7p‑7a, travelers expected to fill holes but managers will try to accommodate block scheduling as schedule allows. Open to weekenders if traveler would like to work every weekend but that is not required. Weekend Requirement: every other or 2 weekends per month is standard, could be higher. Holiday Requirement: rotate in with regular staff. No call or standby requirement. Floating: within skillset, all staff float between all medsurg units; higher acuity patients given to core staff.

Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided: any color, needs to be solid color and professional.

Unit/Department specific orientation: first day, all paperwork and attestations, logins for Omnicel and Epic, show around unit (a few hours), discuss scheduling. 2 additional shifts with preceptor.
