TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Radiology for a travel nursing job in Yakima, Washington. 13‑week assignment, 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
- Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session.
- Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Use imaging technology (CT, X-rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery.
- Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment.
- Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly.
- Follow strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of experience as a Radiation Therapist. Current BLS certification and ARRT(T) national certification required. State licensure may be required. Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
