Travel Nurse RN Oncology – Terre Haute, Indiana
Slate Healthcare is seeking an RN to work in our Oncology Infusion (Chemo) unit for a 13‑week assignment. The position is available immediately and requires a travel nursing placement with 40 hours per week at 8‑hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous chemotherapy drugs and other IV therapies.
- Assess patients before IV treatments.
- Obtain ports or IV access for lab draws and IV therapies.
- Operate infusion equipment and monitor patients during treatment.
- Administer prescribed IV medications and oral pre‑treatment medications.
- Monitor and respond to side effects or reactions and treat appropriately per protocols.
- Use Cerner and Intellidose (TxM) for charting (prior experience is a plus).
Schedule
Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am – 5 pm; Friday, 7 am – Noon (usually before this time). Flexibility may be granted based on patient schedules.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in chemotherapy infusion preferred; perfusion infusion or related oncology experience a plus.
- ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certification required.
- Ready to travel; local acceptance within 50–100 miles at $5 less per hour.
Compensation
Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts, 40 hours per week. The stipend for travel and tax‑free stipend amounts will be determined at hire.
