Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN – Travel Nurse, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Position Overview
TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The candidate will work 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to sick and premature infants.
- Assist the care team in delivering round‑the‑clock care and support to families.
- Care for infants transitioning to extra uterine life.
- Monitor vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
- Perform nutritional assessment and administer specialized feedings.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Provide arterial and intravenous therapy.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment such as incubators and ventilators.
Physical Requirements
Should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift 10‑20 pounds of equipment. Must handle potential chemical and infectious disease hazards.
Requirements
- 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
- BLS and NRP certifications.
- Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
- Travel nursing experience preferred.
Compensation
Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
