Skills required:
- oTrach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips, drips to titrate to HR NOT BP
- oStrong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skillsfor Level 1 Trauma Hospital
- oIV insertion and care, central line management
- oWound care and post op monitoring
- oCardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- oCare coordination with interdisciplinary teams
- oDischarge planning and patient education, particularly on renal and fluid management
