Join WCS Healthcare Partners for an exciting opportunity as a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse in Patchogue, NY. This role allows you to work in a dynamic acute care environment, providing high-quality care while advancing your career with a respected clinical team.Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV) and accurately document all treatments.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report findings per facility policy.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-operative expectations.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and clinical assessments.
• Operate, monitor, and adjust specialized patient-care equipment; interpret and document electronic data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Provide comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift.
• Communicate patient information appropriate for continuity and safe care through Bedside Shift Report, Multidisciplinary Rounds, and Hourly Rounding (AIDET).
• Promote a culture of well-being and a positive atmosphere within the department each shift.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by following established procedures and protocols.
• Participate in quality initiatives and performance improvement to improve patient outcomes.
• Serve as a preceptor for new nurses and collaborate in planning, supervising, and instructing other nurses and assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active State RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of acute Med/Surg experience.
• BLS & ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication, assessment, and customer-service skills.
• Basic Dysrhythmia preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation.
