MAP RN (Med-Surg) Job Breakdown

• Shift : 3x12 Days (07:00-19:30)
• Weekly Hours : 36 hrs Guaranteed
• Unit : MAP (Medical Admissions Program)
• Charting : EPIC
• Ratio : Days 1:4-5
• Floating : Required to all inpatient units as needed

Core Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care : ~20 hrs/week
  Caring for patients with respiratory illnesses, stroke, seizure disorders, MS, renal failure, sepsis, diabetes, GI disorders, wound care, and alcohol withdrawal.
• Assessment & Clinical Monitoring : ~6 hrs/week
  Ongoing patient assessments, neuro checks, respiratory monitoring, and management of acute changes.
• Medication & Treatment Administration : ~5 hrs/week
  IV medications, diabetic management, infection/sepsis treatment, and chronic disease care.
• Documentation (EPIC) : ~3-4 hrs/week
  Charting assessments, interventions, patient progress, and discharge planning.
• Collaboration & Floating : ~2-3 hrs/week
  Working with interdisciplinary teams and floating to inpatient units based on staffing needs.

Key Requirements

• WI RN License
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• 2+ years Med-Surg/acute care experience
• EPIC experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius

• Adult medical population (travelers do not take pediatric patients)

• Low census policy may reduce scheduled hours in 4-hour increments

Ideal Candidate: Experienced Med-Surg RN with strong assessment skills, comfort managing 4-5 patients, and the flexibility to float and adapt in a fast-paced acute care setting.
