TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN in Med Surg for a 13‑week assignment in Amarillo, Texas.

We are looking for Medical Surgical RNs with 1‑2 years of recent acute‑care experience. The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
- Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of patients.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures.
- Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.
Physical requirements: able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; lift 20 pounds routinely and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The position operates in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.
Requirements : BLS certification, 1 year of experience. *Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
