Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in the healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care to patients across various age groups, utilizing evidence-based practices, and working independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. The position requires applying clinical skills, recognizing patient condition changes, and ensuring safety and advocacy for patients.
Job Details
- Position Description: RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department (ED). Certifies in BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Responsibilities include performing clinical procedures such as IV, Foley, and dressings; documenting assessments thoroughly; providing patient and family education; utilizing tele monitoring, ventilators, and safe medication administration; recognizing changes in patient condition; and acting as a patient advocate. Works independently and as part of the team, accepting constructive feedback, maintaining professionalism, and completing tasks within established timeframes.
- Required Qualifications: CA RN Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, 2 years of ER experience, and proficiency with Epic charting system.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekend rotation.
- Additional Information: Orientation includes 2 hours; candidates must have recent ER experience; references obtained within the last year.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma level I or II, facility-specific certifications, and exposure to managing complex emergency cases such as neuro-trauma, or pediatric emergency.
