Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry

Bel Air, MD Cardiac Telemetry / Stepdown

Contract (18 Weeks) Days 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00-19:30) Every Other Weekend Required Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care to adult telemetry patients with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses, including stroke/TIA and stable post-cardiac catheterization patients
• Monitor patients via remote telemetry using the Hicuity System
• Administer and manage specialty drips including Cardizem (non-titratable), Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix
• Operate unit-specific equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Covidien Feeding Pumps, and Zebra portable phones
• Float within specialty to lower-acuity areas as needed
• Work assigned holidays as scheduled; every other weekend is expected

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
• ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible

• Prior experience in a cardiac telemetry or stepdown setting
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring systems
• Experience with specialty cardiac drip management
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the accepted online vendor)

• Opportunity to work in a specialized cardiac telemetry environment with an expected schedule of three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Engage with a dynamic patient population in an established unit with a structured onboarding process
