Job Overview
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an assignment in Sanford, Florida. The assignment is 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with 8‑hour day shifts. The role is a travel position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare radiopharmaceutical agents and administer them to patients prior to imaging.
- Provide technical support to physicians, patients, and researchers in the use of radioactive drugs.
- Obtain required approval and signatures from nuclear medicine physicians.
- Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures.
- Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera.
- Perform procedures, including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist.
- Provide assistance to patients during procedures.
- Ensure the environment is safe for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB‑CNMT.
- State‑specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
