Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years experience and ARRT or NMTCB certification for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Requirements

• ARRT or NMTCB certification required
• BLS certification required
• Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT) verification required
• WV State Licensure required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years experience required
• Must have IV start and EKG skills
• Must be able to perform IV starts as part of job duties
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in the Nuclear Medicine department with 4 scanners/rooms
• Studies performed include cardiac, HIDA, gastric emptying, lung scans, thyroid uptake, and tilts
• Average of 12-15 scans/studies per day
• Utilizes 2 Siemens E-cam and 2 Philips Brightview systems
• EMR is Meditech Expanse and PACS is AGFA IMPAX
• Day shift schedule Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Rotating weekend call coverage every 4th weekend (Friday 4:30pm-7am, Saturday and Sunday 24 hours)
• On-call one day per week when not on weekend call rotation
• No self-scheduling available
• No floating to other departments required
• Radiologist available in-house
• Led by a Lead Tech
• Department-specific orientation provided
• Radiation badge provided by staffing agency, not the facility
• Black colored scrubs required, no embroidery or t-shirts; scrub jacket required if warmth layer needed; no Crocs with holes or backs out
• Scrubs are not provided by facility
• No holiday coverage requirement at this time
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
