American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring CNMT certification and 1+ years of experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB required, or RT registration with NM certification via ARRT
- State Radiologic Technologist license for Nuclear Medicine required
- License required if applicable
Responsibilities
- Acute care setting in a Nuclear Medicine unit
- Monday-Friday day shift, no weekends, evenings, or call
- 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
- Uses Allscripts EMR
- Review patient history and physician orders, and educate patients on procedures and equipment
- Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and medications per protocol
- Monitor patient condition throughout procedures and respond to changes in status
- Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
- Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results for quality issues
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results
