Job Description
We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) for an immediate travel opening in Presque Isle, ME. The right NMT must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.
Responsibilities
- Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians
- Transfer, position, and instruct patients in preparation for procedures
- Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera
- Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
- Provide assistance to patients during procedures
- Ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Qualifications
- Must have 1 year of experience
- BLS, ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required
- NMTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
