Job Title: Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Inpatient)

Position Type: 13-Week Contract (Extensions up to 1 year available)

  • On-Call/Standby: 3:30 PM - 8:00 PM (M-F) & 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Sat-Sun)
  • Schedule: Provided 4 weeks in advance
  • Compensation: Up to $3,300 weekly (includes up to $2,233 non-taxed weekly travel stipend)
  • Travel Reimbursement: Up to $700 total ($350 each way, paid based on receipts)
  • Dress Code: Grey Scrubs

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a premier 173-bed acute care, non-profit hospital system in coastal North County San Diego. In this role, you will provide age-specific care, patient education, and advanced diagnostic imaging procedures as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-volume, age-specific nuclear medicine imaging procedures and patient care duties within an inpatient hospital setting.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment from major manufacturers, including GE, Siemens, and Philips.
  • Utilize Epic EMR for electronic charting, ordering, and documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards, state/federal regulatory guidelines, and hospital safety protocols.
  • Actively participate in Quality Control (QC) and Performance Improvement (PI) activities.
  • Maintain personal clinical competencies and complete all required operational certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Certifications & Registrations: ARRT (N) or CNMT, California Venipuncture Certification, and BLS (AHA).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of total travel experience.
  • At least 6+ months of recent Nuclear Medicine experience in an inpatient health system setting (2+ years preferred).
  • Equipment & EMR: Proficiency with GE, Siemens, and Philips machines; experience with Epic EMR.
  • Permanent home address must be 101+ miles away from the facility.
  • Must not have worked at a facility within a 101-mile radius of the site in the past 12 months.
