Job Responsibilities
Role includes preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with radiation safety standards.
- Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures and address questions.
- Maintain and inspect nuclear medicine equipment.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to protocols.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene as needed.
- Operate imaging equipment to create images as ordered by physicians.
- Document procedures in patient records.
- Follow hospital safety rules, policies, and radiation safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year’s experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Current license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
- Other certifications or licenses as required for this position.

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, and proficiency with PCs.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

- Technical skills to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about during procedures.
- Mental resilience to cope with frequent public contact, deadlines under pressure, occasional supervision, irregular activity schedules, and continuous concentration on detail.
- Sensory ability: visual acuity and communication skills.
