Job Overview
Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. The start date is 07/06/2026. The role is 40 hours per week, 8‑hour day shifts, and is a travel assignment.
Essential Work Functions
- Educate patients about nuclear medicine procedures and address questions.
- Maintain and inspect nuclear medicine equipment for proper functioning, report malfunctions, and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications according to protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and intervene as necessary to ensure their safety.
- Operate medical imaging equipment to create images per physician orders.
- Document procedure details in patient records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations.
- Follow hospital safety rules and radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
- Physical Abilities – Must remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.
- Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with a variety of personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism.
- Technical/Motor Skills – Capable of fine manipulation, push/pull, and mobility for procedures and equipment.
- Mental Requirements – Ability to cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, and maintain concentration on detail.
- Sensory – Visual acuity and effective communication.
