Job Description
The Nuclear Medicine Tech will play a vital role in patient diagnosis and treatment by preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and capturing high-quality imaging studies for physicians.
Contract Details
- Location: Presque Isle, Maine
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 13 weeks (possibility to extend)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts (days, nights)
- Compensation: $2,260 – $2,426 per week (estimated)
- Employment Type: Travel
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Certification from NMTCB or ARRT required
- State licensure (if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent nuclear medicine experience
- Strong technical expertise, safety knowledge, and patient‑care focus
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic procedures
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment to capture accurate images
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Analyze images and collaborate with physicians on diagnostic findings
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety and regulatory standards
- Document patient records, imaging results, and dosage information
