Responsibilities

• Provide care in a Level IV NICU within a Level I Trauma teaching facility.
• Care for neonates ranging from under 23 weeks gestation through full-term newborns.
• Utilize specialized skills including IV vasopressors, High Frequency Ventilation, High Flow NC, and ventilator management.
• Perform charting in Cerner and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Float as needed to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and Mother-Baby Unit (MBU).

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted).
• Certifications: BLS and NRP.
• Minimum 2 years of Level IV NICU experience.
• Proficiency with IV vasopressors, High Frequency Ventilation, High Flow NC, and ventilator management.
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible.
• COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider.

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Floating is required within scope to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and MBU as needed.
• Scrub color: black.
• Parking is available at no cost.
• RTO requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval.
• A 6-month break is required for travelers who have completed 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark at this facility, whichever comes first.
• New contracts and extensions must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
• All scheduling and time-off requests should be submitted at the time of initial application for consideration.
