Job Summary

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN position located in the healthcare provider's short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for neonatal patients across various units, with responsibilities including managing ventilators, administering medications, and supporting critical neonatal procedures. The position offers the opportunity to work in a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, floating between units as needed.

Job Details

  • Certifications: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Education Requirements: valid state license (compact license accepted); Location Requirements: must be within a 50-mile radius; Years of Experience: 2 years required.
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include administration of blood and blood products, arterial line management, supporting Neonatal Intensive Care Unit procedures like ventilation management, sepsis work-up, IV placement, and patient/family education.
  • Required Qualifications: current BLS certification, NRP certification, valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 2 years of neonatal ICU nursing experience, and experience with Epic charting system.
  • Preferred Qualifications: experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or Pediatric Trauma Center.
  • Float: Float rotation to other units may be required, only patients under the age of 2 on pediatric units.
  • Submission Requirements: candidates should include responses to whether they have worked at a Providence facility previously, along with 2 references covering one year within the last three years.
