Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) This facility is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care to join the team in the Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The nurse will evaluate patients, assist physicians with patient care, and develop individualized plans of care for infants 32 weeks and above, providing evidence-based and patient-centric care in a high-acuity setting.

Job Details

• Location: The healthcare providers facility, shift scheduled from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Certifications and Education: ASN required; BSN preferred. BLS must be from AHA; NRP required. NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of Mother-baby experience required, with specific expertise in caring for newborns and managing higher acuity infants 32 weeks and above. Experience stabilizing infants less than 32 weeks is also required.
• Responsibilities: Managing care of high-acuity neonatal patients, performing therapeutic interventions, documenting care based on standards and clinical priorities, and supporting evidence-based practice standards.
• Additional requirements: Competent in managing higher acuity infants (32 weeks and above), with the ability to stabilize infants less than 32 weeks. No floating unless taking babies on postpartum.
