Description/n
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of experience.
Details/n
/n
- Acute care hospital setting on a 16-bed Med/Surg Tele unit
/n
- Cares for post-surgical patients (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc.) alongside general med/surg telemetry cases
/n
- 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) with weekend rotation required alongside core staff
/n
- No dedicated IV team or ventilator management on this unit
/n
- RT and pharmacy support available 24/7 (pharmacy remote after 6pm)
/n
- Uses Cerner as the EMR system
/n
- Floating required to a sister facility in Mesa as needed, with travelers first to float
/n
- No on-call requirements
/n
Requirements/n
/n
- Active AZ or compact RN license required
/n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
/n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
/n
- BSN not required for this position
/n
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing a contract
/n
- Must pass a Sim Lab competency test on Day 1 of orientation
/n
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
/n
Additional Information/n
/n
- Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to post-surgical and general med/surg patients
/n
- Floor-specific orientation is 2 days
/n
- Navy blue scrubs required
/n
- Holiday coverage required on a rotating A/B schedule
/n
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
/n
- Candidates may not have been employed full-time, part-time, or PRN directly with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year
/n
