Job Summary
Travel MRI Technologist – 13 week contract, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour rotating shifts. Immediate start in Kealakekua, HI.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment and ensure image accuracy.
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance.
- Screen patients for MRI safety and interpret doctor instructions.
- Position patients using immobilisation and protective equipment.
- Assist radiologist during procedures.
- Initiate IVs, administer contrast media per protocol.
- Evaluate scan quality, collate and label images.
- Operate power injectors for contrast media.
- Follow safety procedures for radiation.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Use McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience as MRI Technologist.
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT national certification and BLS certification.
- Registration in magnetic resonance imaging and state‑specific licensing when required.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean or stoop for extended periods.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
