American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of MRI experience and GE and Siemens scanner proficiency for a Level II Trauma Center.
Requirements
- BLS certification required
- ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
- License required if applicable
- 3-5 years of MRI experience required
- GE and Siemens equipment experience required
- Experience with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac patient populations preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, Siemens Magnetom Skyra, and McKesson PACS required
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based MRI department with 6 scanners (5 currently operating)
- Weekly census of 250-300 patients
- Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, and ED cases involving implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, and whole body imaging; cardiac experience preferred
- 1:1 patient ratio
- 10-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule (Week A Monday-Thursday, Week B Tuesday-Friday, 7:30pm-6am)
- 40 standard hours per week
- No floating required, MRI unit only
- Weekend rotation of no more than every 3rd weekend
- On-call weekend rotation approximately every 8 weeks, including possible Saturday shift and on-call hours with a scheduled day off the prior week
- Occasional AM on-call for first-shift backup coverage
- 30 minute on-call response time
- Facility is a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet-designated hospital with 933 beds
- Supported by a Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants on the unit; travelers are never alone
- 3 days of orientation provided
- Holiday coverage based on unit needs
- Scrubs of any professional color permitted
