The role involves operating MRI scanners to produce high-quality 3D images, administering contrast media, and collaborating with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

  • screening patients for safety, educating them about procedures, maintaining and troubleshooting MRI equipment, starting IVs, monitoring image quality, and documenting procedures in compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

  • completion of a radiology program with MRI specialization, at least one year of experience, a valid MRI license, and current BLS certification.
  • Preferred credentials include ARRT or ARMRIT certification.

Essential skills

  • critical thinking, excellent interpersonal communication, technical proficiency, physical capability to handle equipment, and the ability to work under pressure.
