Job Description & Requirements

Fusion Medical Staffing – Radiology is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Keene, New Hampshire. The position involves working 40 hours per week on an 8‑hour day shift, delivering clinical imaging services while collaborating with a dedicated radiology team.

Qualifications

  • Completed a Radiology program with specialization and training in MRI
  • Minimum of one year experience as an MRI Technologist
  • Valid Radiology/MRI license in accordance with state regulations
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current ARRT or equivalent certification
  • Current ARMRIT or equivalent certification
  • Any additional certifications or licenses relevant to the position

Essential Work Functions

  • Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications, ensuring protocol compliance
  • Educate patients on the MRI procedure and address any questions
  • Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot MRI equipment; report malfunctions promptly
  • Insert and manage IV contrast media per orders, monitoring for adverse reactions
  • Monitor image quality during procedures and adjust scanning parameters for optimal results
  • Document all procedure details, imaging parameters, and patient observations in accordance with hospital policies
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers for accurate diagnostic imaging and timely result delivery
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with infection control and hospital policies
  • Adhere to hospital safety rules, including infection control and radiation safety protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of an MRI Technologist

Required Essential Skills

  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, with the ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Proficiency with PC skills and technology used in MRI workflow
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend as required
  • Effective interpersonal skills for working with diverse personnel while maintaining a positive, professional attitude
  • Motor and fine manipulation skills necessary for assisting with procedures and using departmental equipment
  • Mental resilience to cope with frequent public contact, tight deadlines, and irregular activity schedules
  • Sensory acuity, particularly visual, to communicate and operate equipment accurately
