Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors around the MRI magnetic field.
• Position patients and coils on the MRI table.
• Inject contrast media as required.
• Set technical parameters, operate MRI scanners, and monitor image data during scans.
• Recognize differences between normal and abnormal images.
• Identify and respond to life‑threatening situations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
• Deliver quality, cost‑effective patient care in a professional manner.
• Promote safe work environments and national patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Completed a two‑year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Valid state radiology registration as required by state law.
• Minimum eighteen months of MRI experience, preferred in a critical care setting.
• Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
