Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and ARRT certification for a 13‑week night shift contract at a community hospital in the Winston‑Salem, NC area.
Details
- Inpatient and outpatient MRI department within a community hospital setting, serving patients from the ER and adult ICU
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- 3 MRI rooms with a daily caseload of approximately 40 cases
- MRI procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non‑brain), gradient echo imaging, image post‑processing, MIP, multiplanar reconstruction, perfusion, peripheral MR, spectroscopy, spin echo images, surface coils, and T‑1 & T‑2 weighted images
- Equipment includes Siemens Avanto, Siemens Sola, and GE Premier — competency on all three systems is required
- EMR: Epic; PACS: Visage
- 3x12‑hour night shifts, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM, Thursday through Saturday only
- No call or float requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience
- ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) certification required
- Current BLS required
- Experience in inpatient, outpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings required
- Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required
- Demonstrated competency on Siemens and GE MRI platforms
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First‑time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- The night shift tech works independently in the department; an Ops Assistant may occasionally be on duty but is not guaranteed
- Orientation consists of 1 week on first shift, followed by an assessment for independent practice
- Royal blue scrub tops and bottoms required
- RTO requests are not permitted after booking and cannot be arranged on‑site — call‑offs or unapproved time off may result in contract cancellation
- An interview with the manager is required prior to any offer being extended
