Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance.
• Interpret doctors' written instructions correctly.
• Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure safety.
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance.
• Start IVs and administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequences of exposure and label appropriately.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Certification: BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT with registration in magnetic resonance imaging.
• State‑specific licensing when required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods of time.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
