Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
• Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
• Interpret doctors' written instructions accurately.
• Position patients for scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with regulation and ensure safety of patients and staff.
• Assist radiologist with procedure performance.
• Start IVs, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure, and label appropriately.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Use the McKesson PACS system.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of MRI technologist experience.
• BLS certification and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT national certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state‑specific licensing where required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty and knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Compensation

The pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week with a tax‑free stipend. Exact amount to be determined.
