Job Summary
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Austin, Texas. The role requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.
Responsibilities
As an MRI Technologist, you will:
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients.
- Screen patients for MRI safety prior to the procedure.
- Interpret doctors’ written instructions accurately.
- Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment in compliance with regulations.
- Assist the radiologist with procedure performance.
- Start IVs, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
- Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
- Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
- Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Use the McKesson PACS system.
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in MRI.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging; additional certifications may be required.
- State‑specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods; sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
