Travel RN - Medical Surgical (Nights)

Lander, WY Acute Care

Contract 13 Weeks Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Onsite

• Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares, administers, and records prescribed medications (oral, subcutaneous, and IV); reports adverse reactions in accordance with facility policy
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients, and educates patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interprets and records electronic displays, and initiates corrective action when a patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Performs clinical tasks including dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV starts; prepares equipment and assists physician during examination and treatment
• Participates in discharge planning and documents all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner

• Active Wyoming RN license or a multi-state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience in a hospital setting
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required - must be issued through the American Heart Association
• Ability to occasionally care for pediatric and adolescent patients as needed
• Willingness to float between two campus locations depending on facility census

• Prior travel nursing experience in a community hospital setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
• Experience managing a diverse patient population including pre- and post-operative cases

• 13-week contract opportunity offering hands-on experience in a community-based acute care setting in Wyoming
