Position: Mammography Technologist (local and travel contract available)
Location: New York, NY

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
Schedule: Full-Time, 8-Hour Day Shifts (flexible start times e.g., 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
State License Needed: Active New York State Department of Health License
Pay: $3,500 weekly gross pay for travelers, $80/hr for local talent (must be within a commutable distance to facility)
Job Summary
Medix is partnering with a premier outpatient imaging provider in New York, NY, to recruit a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. In this role, you will deliver high-quality screening mammography services in a bustling, patient-centered clinic setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform screening mammography scans in a high-volume clinical setting, averaging 18-25 scans per shift (up to 32 patients during peak times).
  • Work independently as the primary technologist assigned to the unit, focusing strictly on non-invasive screening procedures.
  • Execute and document mandatory weekly Quality Control (QC) procedures on imaging units in compliance with state regulations.
  • Accurately input QC data into facility tracking logs to maintain strict regulatory compliance.
  • Adapt quickly to workflow needs and utilize internal clinical software systems for patient tracking and documentation.
  • Deliver culturally competent, empathetic bedside care to a diverse group of patients, utilizing available translation tools and bilingual staff support when needed.
Required Qualifications
  • ARRT (M) certification in good standing.
  • Active New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Mammography Technologist.
  • Documented proof of initial 40 hours of mammography training.
  • Documented proof of 3D Mammography (Tomosynthesis) training.
  • High degree of adaptability, technical skill, and ability to operate independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent hands-on experience with Hologic Selenia 3D imaging equipment.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Prior travel contract experience with readily available compliance documentation.
